Movie news WITH ILYA BACHURIN

The Director of TV BRICS, “Clover” production company, as well as the co-founder of Glavkino, is the one who knows firsthand what movies and series are worth watching now. Ilya Bachurin shares his discoveries with «Vremena Goda».

I’d like to outline my story that way: along with a must-see movie that has been released just recently, I will recall another essential viewing movie from 2018 and, of course, the series. Today's world would not have been possible without series! So they are worth a start. The one I’d like to recommend is «Sex Education». This choice might seem odd if judging only by topic and style. However, in my opinion, this story is worthy of special attention, since it raises important issues that everyone, regardless of age, has ever faced. What really matters is that these questions are not just outlined by the authors - they get accurate and profound answers. Another perk is the brilliant acting work of next superstars of commercial cinema.

The movie «Fairy», which is available on Kinopoisk HD from April 30, is definitely not worth skipping. I adore such kind of movies - subtle, smart, relevant, humane and very professionally made. The strongest Russian director Anna Melikyan, beloved actors together with music by Kirill Richter make that movie another hit that is going to be discussed for a long time in very different companies.

There are movies that change the world, not only introducing beauty but also capturing some important emotions, meanings, insights. Pavel Pavlikovsky’s movie “Cold War” released in 2018 perfectly falls into this category. The lucky ones who happened to see the movie (judging by the box office, there were not many of them) can simply skip this recommendation. The other ones should watch it necessarily! You’ll definitely thank me after. Believe me, it’s not in vain that the film screening in Cannes ended with half-hour applause.
