Multi-colored beads, bandanas and bags from raffia: accessories worth exploring this summer

Sometimes, to make look on-trend, it’s enough to add only one detail - an accessory that is being at the peak of popularity this season. Some of them have already been shown by designers at Fashion Weeks, others are born spontaneously, filling Instagram-pages of influencers. Current summer is rich in both of those, and some trends look so vivid that to lose momentum, to ignore them, would be unforgivable. The "Vremena Goda" Galleries have chosen 5 trends that are worth paying attention to during the warm season.

Bandanas

Being unaware of the upcoming coronavirus pandemic as well as the fact that many people would be putting bandanas on their faces, the designers suggested decorating heads with them. Fashion influencers have immediately approved this suggestion and started to stock up headscarves.

Probably these trends are inspired by female workers from posters of the Soviet era, characters of black and white Hollywood cinema, as well as pop stars of the 1990s - early 2000s. During quarantine, bandanas tied back in the manner of Soviet headscarves only strengthened their positions – and what matters it’s not only the fashion relevance but the benefit that wearing bandana we don't have to keep taking care of hairstyling.

Multi-colored beads

Rushing through the waves of nostalgia, celebrities and insta fashionmonger started a trend of wearing multi-coloured beads “like in childhood”. However in childhood everything was handmade - we had to thread beads, plastic balls and cubes, glass beads. Now handmade beads can be beneficially mixed with pieces of jewellery keeping the similar style. Among them, there are Dior, Gucci and other brands' necklaces created from precious and semiprecious stones, including turquoise and pearls.

Mono earrings

Summer is the best time for fashion experiments. After so many months spent in mandatory isolation, each outing should be special. Consider such an extraordinary trend as a mono-earring: for special occasions you can choose massive jewelry that attracts attention, and for everyday life pick up something miniature and symbolic.

Geometric sunglasses of aviator style

The sun-protection “aviators” tend to have an impressive army of fans and admirers. This love is understandable enough: it is difficult to find glasses that would be both so multi-purpose and practical. This season, the trend is not so much about classic models as its variations. In particular, glasses in a thin metal frame are becoming more rectangular in shape than is accepted by the laws of the genre.

String bags and handbags from raffia

The drive to casual elegance and a course towards environmental friendliness have led designers to show on the runway an ideal summer handbag - string bags as well as handbags made of raffia, preferably a “bucket” or a basket. Whereas before baggy ones used to be appreciated, now accessories have been given a more noble look, in particular, due to the inserts made of genuine leather.
