Agnona is Italian clothing and accessories fashion brand. The company was founded in 1953 in Agnena, a small village in the Piedmont region of northwestern Italy.
The founder of the company, Francesco Ilorini Mo, adored travelling. He traveled about several continents and countries, where managed to establish contacts with suppliers in order to buy the best raw materials for his production. Agnona production was supplied with wool from Australia, cashmere from China and Tibet, as well as vicuña and alpaca from Peru. The company started specializing in the production of the highest quality natural fabrics. Top fashion brands, from Christian Dior to Yves Saint Laurent, began purchasing products to create seasonal collections.
A line of apparel under the "Anyona" brand name was adopted for the market in the 1970s, thanks to the collaboration of Francesco Ilorini Mo, the founder of the company, with stylist Walters Albini. Brand’s own clothing collection enjoyed wide popularity, so the company took the decision to launch a specialized clothing production line. Since that, it has been releasing new clothes collection each season.
By the late 1990s, Agnona was focusing on opening its own boutiques, as previously brand’s fashion items were only sold at department stores like Barneys in New York. At the beginning of the 2000s, Agnona stores opened in Milan, New York, Osaka and Tokyo. Currently, the brand has many stores around the world, including Moscow.
Area of activity
The company has two major divisions: women's and men's wear and home textiles. Agnona is a unique full-cycle company: it independently produces raw materials and fabrics, sews clothes and household goods as well as sells them in stores. Each stage of production is based on the traditions of Italian craftsmen coupled with the latest technologies.
The collection features models made of natural fabrics. The line includes coats and parkas, jackets and pants, knitwear: jumpers, cardigans, T-shirts and hoodies. The brand is also engaged in the production of accessories.
Agnona also specializes in making home textiles such as cozy blankets, pillows or bathrobes. Textured knitting, low-keyed shades, high-quality materials – all these things make the best traditions of the company. Home textiles collections are also released every season.
