The creative director of Chanel Virginie Viard called the Resort 2021 collection “A Walk through the Mediterranean”. Taking inspiration from the history of the international jetsett of 1960s version, Viard went on an imaginary journey throughout the Mediterranean - from the Capri port bay to the French Riviera coast. For this regatta, the designer collected the perfect wardrobe by all the canons of seaside resorts. To the lite versions of classic tweed suits, she added leather two-pieces (jacket + loose shorts), playful dresses with ruffles, comfortable knitted sets and democratic flare-cut models.
All things are exceptionally functional. Swimsuits in the collection play the role of a bodysuit, denim becomes the basis of the wardrobe, and traditional tweed is used not for strict two-piece suits, but for relaxed skirts with a deep cut as well as appliqués on jeans.
The collection is presented in the boutique of the Vremena Goda Galleries.
