Maria Grazia Chiuri, the Creative Director of Dior, presents a new cruise collection in Lecce, the Italian city, close by this place her father was born and raised. The concept of the show is tightly bound to the culture of the Apulia region. In particular, the models were walking on the improvised catwalk to the music of Paolo Buonvino, who wrote an updated version of traditional Apulia tunes, especially for Dior.
The collection includes the fabrics created by the masters of the Apulian textile studio Fondazione Le Costantine. Besides, it has been for the first time that roses for the iconic Miss Dior dress were made in the unique tombola technique - a special type of embroidery that originates from the depths of the centuries.
