Montblanc introduces a new chronograph of a limited series of 100 Montblanc 1858 Monopusher Chronograph Origins items. This is a re-release of a 46mm military single-button chronograph from the 1930s.
The original Minerva chronograph, released in the 1930s in vintage style, served as the main source of inspiration for the Montblanc 1858 collection. A distinctive feature of the original watch was a black dial with counters at 3 and 9 o'clock positions as well as cathedral hands with Super-LumiNova coating, designed for military use and ensuring excellent readability during both daylight and nighttime.
The Montblanc 1858 Monopusher Chronograph Origins retains the key elements of the original model but are complemented with vintage-style details.
The watch case is made of a special bronze alloy, which over time becomes covered with a noble patina, reminiscent of the measuring equipment of travelers of the past. The model is complemented by a hinged case back, as in a traditional pocket watch,to protect the movement.
