Chanel launches The Icons of 1932, a new jewelry collection. The fashion house turns to its history: it gives a new meaning to jewelry from the Bijoux de Diamants series, created by Coco Chanel in 1932.
The models from the new collection refer to the four symbols that Chanel founder herself laid in the jewelry of 1932: comet, sun, ribbon and feather. There was also a lion added - Gabriella Chanel's zodiac sign to pay tribute to the designer.
The collection embodies the spirit of freedom embedded in the brand DNA. So, jewelry can be adapted to suit either your style or mood. For example, the comet pendant on the Comète necklace in 18K white gold with diamonds can be detached and become a brooch.
The Icons of 1932 include seven items. A pair of Soleil de Chanel jewelry: a transforming necklace, where the sun pendant can be worn as a brooch, and a ring, that can be either a single piece or two separate ones. In addition, the collection features the Plume de Chanel feather-shaped ring, an elegant Ruban ribbon bracelet as well as an analogous ring. To conclude the series there is a brooch with a lion in 18K yellow gold with diamonds.
