The men's spring-summer 2022 fashion weeks ended at the end of June. Within this event, new collections were shown by Louis Vuitton, Dior Men, Hermès, Philipp Plein, and other designers. The Vremena Goda Galleries team comes up with a SS'22 guide to the most relevant trends worth paying your attention to. These trends are being actual not only for men but for women as well since the contemporary fashion world is seeking gender neutrality.
Psychedelic prints
Vivid abstract psychedelic prints are a must-have for the spring-summer 2022 season. Designers applied them to decorate shirts, sweatshirts, T-shirts, and even suits. For a casual look, these are best to mix and match with plain pants or shorts to balance the look. For party style inspiration, check out Louis Vuitton, its new collection is dedicated to rave culture.
Ombre effect
If the tie-dye style is now fairly well established in the wardrobes of all fashionmongers, then the big time of things with the ombre effect is only booming. In the SS'22 season, designers - from Louis Vuitton to Hermès presented models featuring this "watercolor" print. Bright shades appear clear winners: fuchsia, cobalt blue, neon green.
Neon
Fashion items of Neon green color have been spotted in many Fashion Weeks collections. Shirts, T-shirts, bags, hats – each fashion item looks so bright that is literally glowing in the dark. Dior Men, Louis Vuitton, and MSGM have gone further: designers suggest wearing neon total looks next spring and summer. It’s an option for the most stylish and daring ones!
Hybrid accessories
From season to season there can be seen a wide variety of hats in the collections of brands: from baseball caps to wide-brimmed hats. It is not surprising, since these accessories add a glam finish to the look. This year, designers tend to give free rein to experiments and inveil creative hats. So, Louis Vuitton together with Jacquemus released balaclavas turtlenecks, and Dior Men - a hybrid of a bucket hat and a cap.
Pink color
Designers appeal to men to kill stereotypes and dare to wear pink. The SS'22 collections feature shades of this color in all their variety: from acid-neon to muted powdery. Monochrome pink images are being especially relevant: it can be a monochromatic suit or a matching of things of different textures and shades.
Microbags
The trend for tiny bags has migrated from women's fashion shows to men's ones. Kim Jones, Dior Men Creative Director, teamed up with musician Travis Scott to unveil a new bag design that is attached directly to the arm. This duo also developed a new variation of the iconic Saddle Bag in the form of a small belt bag. And, of course, here we cannot fail to mention the Le Chiquito Bag by Jacquemus, which has already become legendary.
Mini shorts + jacket
This exciting pairing has been spotted at the Louis Vuitton show. Shorts can feature any style: from classic with tucks to either sports or cargo with patch pockets. You can mix and match shorts with both plain and printed tops. Designers come up with high socks, sunglasses, and a headdress to add a final touch.
